The Cole Clark FL3 BMS is one of the highlights of the Cole Clark product range. The Australian guitar maker always scores first with extraordinary wooden combinations. The CCFL3EC-BMS also comes with mainly Australian woods. The Top is build with the topseller of the Cole Clark Tonewood range: Bunya. Almost half of all the Cole Clark instruments sold are built with Australian Tonewood. This is one aspect of the typical Cole Clark sound.
The neck, back and the sides of the BMS are built with Queensland Maple Silkwood. The neutral sound of this tonewood does not resemble any other related wood-species, such as maple from the USA. The Australian maple is more similar to South American mahogany: it makes a natural, neutral and very precise sound.
Simple Cole Clark FL3 BMS comes with beautiful inlays
Cole Clark created a fantastic look again and again with the unique wood stocks. The “Californian Redwood” tops are recommended. The BMS is comparatively modest in this regard. But this also has a simple reason. The focus of this instrument is on its fantastically processed inlays. The Australians call it “Inlaid timber binding, purfing and rosette“.
The instruments of Cole Clark have always been first and foremost recognised by a combination of careful guitar construction and accurately fitting technology. The mostly used Australian tonewood is just one part of its secret. The other features a well-designed, self-developed pickup system. The 3-Way Pickup System, as the name suggests, works over three points.
- With a piezosystem at the lower end of the guitar, the sound volume and the bass portion are ensured.
- A patented “face sensor” system at the soundhole for the string removal
- A microphone at the neck, body transition for the necessary heights
In this way, a broad and balanced range of sound from highs, mids and depths are covered, which of course can also be individually controlled. Selected dealers in Germany, Austria and BeNeLux have the Cole Clark FL3 BMS in their assortment.
